Hi, I’m Frank.

I spend most of my waking hours reading, thinking, and talking the business of sports & entertainment. The remainder are largely spent enjoying sports and entertainment content with my loving wife.

I currently work at a large company focused on direct to consumer products.*This is a personal blog, and all views expressed here are my own.*

My goal is to catalog my learnings and thoughts on the business of sports and entertainment, diving deep into the trends, technologies, and actors transforming the industry.

Some rules of engagement:

  • Format: I am still in the early days of identifying the intersection between the styles of writing that feel authentic to me, and the ones that resonate with readers. Expect a lot of experimentation ranging from investment memos and startup pitch breakdowns, to thoughts on breaking into/progressing within the sports industry.

  • Frequency: I plan to write when I am inspired by a topic, aiming for 1x-2x well researched posts a month. For the moment, no regular schedule.

  • Seeking Feedback: This blog is called Shots on Goal because I expect to miss a lot, especially in the early goign. If you think I got something wrong please message me on Twitter (DMs open) or reply to the newsletter with any questions/critiques/other thoughts. Thanks in advance for making my thinking/writing better!

  • Not Investment Advice: I am not a trained financial analyst/investment advisor.

  • Disclosure: I will not be writing about topics that touch upon either the immediate scope of my employment or stories where my employer is a central actor, as this is a side project I spend my personal time on.

If all of the above sounds good to you, then please sign up!
